If you must eat and watch TV (I know for some this will be a hard habit to break), at least use the smallest plates possible. This will encourage you to eat less and at least you will get a little walk in as you go to the kitchen seconds.

  5. Take the stairs not the elevator-Any increase in activity that you can have is going to help you lose weight. Instead of taking either the elevator or escalator take the stairs. You may not be able to go all the way up to you destination, but go as far as you can. Try to add a few more steps every day.
